Pile Group Analysis
A plane strain pile group analysis for 2 piles and a pile cap with horizontal (subgrade reaction) and vertical springs using a stiffness matrix based on 3 degrees of freedom at each joint – vertical and horizontal deflections and 1 rotation. Loading is by joint forces or moments in 2 directions. Primarily analyses a plane strain (2-d) pile group, but can be used for 3-dimensional pile groups using appropriate group reduction factors to allow for pile spacing in both directions.
